Typo3 hosting Webserver System Requirements

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

Before you set up your typo3 hosting, you have to make sure that youve covered all the system requirements. A good content management platform like Typo3 requires a specific set of specs in order for it to function properly. Otherwise, you might be better off with a different content management tool. But anyway, the requirements dont seem to hard to get, but at least you should know.

Operating System has to be either of Linux, Windows, or Mac
Web server needs to be Apache, IIS
Middleware currently calls for either PHP 4 or PHP 5, but once youre running your Typo3 hosting on version 4.2.0, youre going to need PHP 5.2
For database applications, you need either MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, and some other database systems that are supported by Typo3
As for hardware, you just need the typical hardware setup for web servers.

The system requirements above, however, are meant for web servers that intend to support Typo3 hosting. Client system requirements might be slightly different.
