There are many different types of hämorrhoiden behandlung for patients who are not willing to go under the surgeon’s knife. These treatment methods are often done as an outpatient procedure and therefore require no amount of hospital stay. The first method is called as Injection Sclerotherapy. In this method an injection is given to the hemorrhoids that cause it to shrink or decrease in size and fall off. The advantage of this treatment is that it can last for longer and that a single injection can treat up to 3 hemorrhoids. What makes it a less viable method is the fact that it cannot treat larger hemorrhoids and has a higher chance or recurrence.
The second most popular outpatient treatment for internal hemorrhoids is Infrared photocoagulation. This method concentrates a high intensity infrared beam on each hemorrhoid outgrowth that kills the pathogens instantly causing a decrease in size almost instantly. It is a permanent solution and has a better chance at success but it is also quite costly and very painful too. Furthermore, it is not always suitable to use in elderly patients and neither with pregnant women.
